This will permit you to rest your feet on the ground with legs straight and arms on the desk to make you feel more relaxed.

The next important aspect that is worth considering is the width and the depth of the seat. The chair should be of immense comfort for the users with the seat having enough depth which will enable you to comfortably relax next to the backrest ant at the same time regulate the chair angle. If in case you have a propensity to stoop in the chair then you can easily adjust an ergonomic office chair as per your need and will give support to your lower back. The back support should have a broad backrest which can be easily adjusted while sitting.

The arm rests are not mandatory in an ergonomic office chair but if in case you require them go for arm rests that can be easily adjusted and permits you to set your arms comfortably, at the same time soothing your shoulders. As far as materials of the office chair are concerned there are various materials to select from, but an ergonomic office chair should always be stuffed for more comfort. For those who sit for long duration, the chair should be breathable. Two chairs that tick most of the boxes and is similar to the Herman Miller Aeron Chair are the Ergohuman Chair and the Enjoy Chair

An office chair should enable you to move around liberally and at the same time permit you to have a reach on all the things with least strain. You are now looking for ergonomic chairs, so choosing a chair that suits your needs should not be a tough task with so many outstanding manufacturers providing the best office chairs.

Here are some guides

Determine what options you need or want in an executive chair. Do you really need or want leather, or will a vinyl or cloth chair do just as well. Are you interested in a high back or do you want a more conservative mid-back chair that will work just as well.

Consider your size. If you’re a larger or taller individual, you need a chair with a generous seat. You may also benefit from a chair made especially for taller or bigger people.

Set a budget for your new chair. Believe it or not, an executive leather chair can run from about 150 pounds upwards into the thousands. Set a budget and clear it with your accounting department, then you know what type of executive chair to shop for and in which price range to stay.

Search ergonomic office chair sites such as simply-ergonomic.co.uk. These specialty sites have a wide range of options in executive chairs and have prices that are super competitive. Be sure to calculate shipping costs into the budget you have set.

Look for an executive chair with a warranty. Most chairs have at least a 1 year warranty, but some have a 3 or 5 year warranty. You may be buying a longer lasting chair when you select the one with the better warranty.

You’d like to splurge on an executive leather chair that you’ve been craving for some time. Now that the business is finally seeing black after crawling out from under the capital investment loan, you might be able to splurge on the leather chair for the executive office. Here’s how to get that executive leather chair without the whole accounting department calling foul.

Mirus Ergonomic Office Chair

The Ergohuman range of office chairs are stunning and, although they are similar but different, you’ll be hard-pushed to choose the one for you. The Mirus is the latest addition and, like many of the other designs, it also boasts the single-lever control, which allows you to adjust the three popular features of seat height, seat depth and back tilt.

The seat height makes the seat available to short, medium and tall users, getting the seat pad in position to allow your feet to touch the floor comfortably. The seat depth complements the seat back’s purpose of addressing height, in that it allows you to make sure that your thighs are fully supported and your knees fold comfortably at the seat pad end. Like in a car, the seat tilt is about feeling right and getting your arms and hands to meet the working area (keyboard or desk as opposed to the steering wheel) at the most effective distance.

The multi-directional neck-roll gets the support just where you need it, as is the case with the 3D lumbar support facility. The seat slide manoeuvre adds the finishing touches.

The Mirus Office Chair is one of the Ergohuman range of office chairs that offer a zero-pressure seat cushion, with the purpose of distributing weight evenly and making sitting feel like a luxurious experience, rather than being simply to take the weight off your feet.

When choosing the frame, you can opt for either black or white with aluminium, or all-black, complemented by the all-aluminium base and five black castors.

Three of the nine models come with a 3D headrest and, in a choice of either fabric or mesh which both come in a range of colours, you really will be hard-pushed for choice.

The Mirus Office Chair is 98 percent recyclable and really does deserve your attention, before making your mind up about which Ergohuman ergonomic chair should be the one to serve your personal needs.

The Perfect Ergonomic Office

Imagine you’re sitting in a perfect office: somewhere where you have to go but you’re also pleased to be. Everyone’s idea will be slightly different, though all will contain the essentials.

A perfect ergonomic office will be light and inviting. If there’s a window close to you, the natural light will make the office feel fresh and alive. If this isn’t happening for you, then you need to invite light into the room. A standard lamp may add a touch of homeliness and you can also use angle poise lamps, to direct the light to your office desk, making reading easy, particularly on those long winter days when everything seems to be overcast. Don’t forget that view from the window. Maybe it’s beautiful, maybe it’s not, so why not hang a scenic picture on the wall in front of you, or frame a smaller version for your desk: it might not be a desk toy but it will still make you feel good.

If your office is small, make it feel bigger. This can be done by using glass office furniture, as the light passing through that beautiful crystal gives an illusion of space. However, if you’re one of those people that hoards a lot of stuff under your office desk, you’re now going to have to tidy up your act. This in itself is a good thing, as we are always being told to de-clutter our lives and getting rid of unnecessary paper will again create space. It will also make work more pleasurable, as you have now become more organised.

So, the place looks bigger, brighter and inviting. The next step is to get that office chair right. Right for you, as you’re the one who is going to be sitting in it. It’s not only the seat pad that is important, although sitting on something soft is better than something that has no flexibility. You want that best office chair to be supporting you in all the right places. The lower back of the chair matches your lower back: it’s giving support and taking some of the weight of your upper body off your own frame. Its adjustable arm rests, its swivel action and its seat pad height mechanism make sitting a more natural action, rather than an expected pose. While all of this happening, your body is relaxing and encouraging your thoughts to be in the same frame of mind. So what type of office chair? Well considering all of the above it has to be an ergonomic office chair.

For many of us, even the journey to work can be stressful, so the last thing you want is to carry this edginess through the day. Getting that ergonomic office right for you will reflect itself in the quality of your work and the quantity and that can’t be a bad thing, can it?

Why Ergohuman

Life is now more sedentary than ever before. Before the Industrial Revolution came along, adults and even young children laboured in the fields and, as a result, the whole body received a daily workout. Now, in the age of computer technology, work has become mostly sedentary and, as a result, the human body gets little exercise during those working hours. This means that the human frame needs to be looked after in its seated position, otherwise health problems can arise due to lack of physical activity. A sensible employer will pay attention to correct seating, as conditions such as a bad back, sciatica or shoulder pain will invariably lead to sickness and lower output.

A chair has gone from being a wooden frame with four legs to an ergonomic speciality on an aluminium frame sporting castors and, as each human frame is different, so are the ergonomic office chairs which are designed to support that human frame. A truly ergonomic chair will address weight, height, body frame, length of legs and arms and may also give head support.

Start by looking at the Ergohuman, an office chair which has the whole human frame in mind. A single lever allows the user to change the tilt of the chair for maximum comfort and there may be times when the user wants to be upright and extremely attentive, as opposed to laid back and deep in thought. One can also alter the height of the seat to agree with the length of the person’s legs, alter the height and position of the armrests and apply a seat slide for perfect positioning.

A unique point about the Ergohuman is its flexible lumbar support system which, situated in the lower part of the chair back, adjusts itself to hug the lower back of its user. Once a chair has had all its adjustments made to match the user, thought might turn to fixing a head rest. This will not only support the head but give support to the neck a well.

As human beings, we are also fickle and so colour and upholstery may need to be addressed when choosing the right ergonomic chair. Corporate colours may mean that only a particular colour can be chosen as, in a big office or in an open-plan environment, the same colour will be more pleasing on the eye than a multitude of colours scattered everywhere.
As regards to fabric, one’s position in a company may allow leather to be the choice but, for most of the workers, the choice may fall between a basic fabric or mesh. Each type of upholstery has its own benefits; leather is more durable, fabric is washable and mesh breathes. When it comes to sales, mesh proves to be very popular, both because of its breathability and its interesting range of colours.

Mirus Office Chair
Though fabric and colour may seem to have little to do with ergonomics, being happy with these two points really does make a chair more satisfying. A new chair from the Ergohuman Range is the Mirus Office Chair which

The design concept of the Mirus chair also incorporates a multi-directional
interactive neck roll which can help to relax tired neck and shoulder muscles. The 3-dimensional automatic flexible lumbar support system provides full support to the lumbar region with interactive and dynamic movement, intuitively adjusting
to your needs. A ‘zero pressure’ seat cushion helps to distrbute weight evenly across the seat pad to provide maximum comfort.

Office Basic Rules – Feng Shui

Feng Shui, Not sure how to pronounce it? You’re not alone. Some may argue that Feng Shui is just non sense and ancient superstition, other will have a natural respect and mild curiosity without going to the extend of putting any Feng Shui rules into practice – the common excuse being “I don’t know enough about it”. There seems to be a great deal of mystery surrounding Feng Shui, when many of the basic rules are only common sense.

It is primarily based on being in control of the situation whether at home or at work. Position your bed or chair so that you feel secure and cannot be taken by surprise by someone bursting into the room. Avoid positioning furniture in straight lines along the walls. Be organic, nature is all curves, not angles, think ergonomic. The same rules apply to the office environment . An office worker will not give his best performance with his back turned to the door, or a stream of collegues passing by or coming up on him from behind. They would feel hastled and nervous and would have to constantly watch his back. Any of us would naturally feel uneasy in such a position.

Additionally being trapped in an office cubicle with no view will not make the employees happy. Without adding chimes, mirrors and money plants everywhere, great benefits can still be added to the workplace by applying some of the main Feng Shui rules. Ideally it is best to first draw up a plan of your office , superimpose the Pa Kwa map and see where each area falls. Areas such as rest, wealth, friendship, health and pleasure need to be used wisely – the wealth area being ideal for the shop’s till while the friendship area could be used by the sales-team to enhance relationships with clients. Understandably, this may not always be possible as office space is often at a premium. However small changes will improve the workforce happiness and should have an immediate and long-term impact on sales, creativity and staff retention.

In Japan, it is not uncommon for employees to refuse working in bad Feng Shui positions; these rules are indeed taken very seriously. Pillars have to be moved and office partitioning has to be rearranged to create a positive working environment for all employees. To maximise the space in my home office I actually confess that I have my back to the door. But all is not lost, as Feng Shui offers a range of remedies. In this case I just have to hang a mirror on the wall to alert me of an intruder! I see this as a temporary solution and I am quite keen to apply most of the Feng Shui rules as soon as I buy a new office desk and matching filing cabinets. All whats needed now is a stylish mesh office chair like the Ergohuman Plus Mesh Office Chair or the New sigle lever Ergohuman Chair from Simply Ergonomic.

Ergohuman Office Chairs

I already have my office chair but, if you need to buy one for yourself, I would suggest that you look no further than the Ergohuman chair range. I have the enjoy office chair, though my colleague swears by the Enjoy office chair model but it really depends on what you’re looking for. One of the points that should affect your decision is your body frame but the nature of your job is also important. What I mean by that second consideration is do you sit down all day long or are you always up and down, does the job involve a lot of twisting (maybe your filing cabinets are right next to you and you don’t have to actually leave your seat to put something away).

For me, the seat tilt and slide and the backrest tilt mean that I can get my back and my bottom to fit comfortably into the Nefil chair, so that I am actually using its magnificent features to support the whole of my back. That means that I am making use of the lumbar support that the chair back gives. My girlfriend likes the Enjoy office chair, as it has autoflex zones in the lumbar support feature and this does it for her.

All of the Ergohuman chair models are to die for, as a lot of thinking has gone into their design. They all have many features and adjustments and I suppose the most noticeable difference is the look of the chair. I just love the simple look and the ergohuman’s chair back from the rear reminds me of the old-style beer bottle opener. The chair looks good and makes me feel good. With its ribbed look back support, the Enjoy appeals to my friend and that’s fine.

One thing we both agreed on was the choice of fabric. Though the leather is very nice, we much preferred the airiness of the mesh. It’s easy to wipe clean and is a chair that breathes, if you know what I mean.

I’m really pleased that I was guided towards the Ergohuman range of chairs. It was sound advice and that’s why I am passing the same information on. There’s an interesting range of colours to choose from as well. And as regards to that sound advice … don’t forget to pass it on.
